Hotel Seagull Old Digha with Swimming Pool Review

Hotel Seagull in Digha is situated at a distance of 0.5 km from the Digha bus stand. It’s a three-story property with well-maintained rooms near Digha sea beach. 

A beautiful garden surrounds the hotel, where guests can take a stroll. The rooms have AC, an attached washroom, and a balcony. In-room conveniences include packaged drinking water, hot and cold water facilities in the washrooms, and a television. 

Hotel Seagull in West Bengal offers a 24-hour front desk and room service facility, an on-call doctor, and a power generator. 

My Stay at Hotel Seagull Old Digha, West Bengal

My experience of visiting Hotel Seagull was pleasant. Their reception area is pretty and hut-shaped. All the rooms have AC, and the tariff starts from ₹2500 (approximately) and goes up to ₹12000 (approximately).

They have a pretty rooftop swimming pool. The pool is open from 9 am to 3 pm and 5.30 pm to 9 pm. Guests need to buy a swimming costume before entering the pool. Hotel Seagull is a couple-friendly hotel.

The hotel doesn’t allow outside food. Guests can dine at the on-site restaurant with a room service facility or outside the hotel. We can book from multiple platforms, such as MakeMyTrip, Trivago, Goibibo, etc.

Seagull accepts on-the-spot bookings. Guests can also book their stay at the hotel’s head offices (Golpark and Shyambazar in Kolkata, WB). Hotel Seagull doesn’t offer a pickup or drop-off facility. Check-in is noon, and checkout is 11 a.m.

When I visited their rooftop swimming pool, I was delighted to find a jacuzzi, a resting place, and a foot spa. There is a small pool for kids. The ocean is visible from the sea-facing rooms and rooftops. Hotel Seagull has an excellent ambience.

I stayed in room 303, which was furnished and had a full-wall mirror. The Bay of Bengal looked mesmerizing from the balcony. The washroom was hygienic. Room 303’s tariff was ₹4300, which is worth the facilities offered by Seagull.

Hotel Seagull also has cottages. The ocean is within walking distance (you cannot get down and have a bath).

Hotel Seagull has a policy regarding swimming costumes. Guests are not allowed to enter the pool without costumes, but they can rent them from the hotel. The hotel also has a foot spa, a jacuzzi, a resting place, and a swimming pool.

Hotel Seagull is a well-furnished property with 60 beautiful suites and rooms. Each room has a cosy bed, telephone, closet, television, and huge full-wall mirrors. The rooms are segregated into six categories: superior studio rooms, family rooms, deluxe rooms, king suite rooms, family suite rooms, and apartments.

The family room has two double beds and can accommodate six people at a time. The deluxe double room provides two options: with or without a balcony, and non-sea-facing or sea-facing. The superior studio has a double bed, a separate living room, and a balcony.

The apartment provides a private area with a sea/ garden view. There are two bedrooms in the King Suite with extra-enormous beds, a sofa-comfort bed (additional), and a separate living room.

There’s a Wow Momo outlet less than a km from Seagull, serving ten different momo varieties. The Digha Dhaba Restaurant, 180 m from Hotel Seagull, offers Indian dishes. Saikatabas Restaurant (400m) and Ankur Restaurant (30m) are famous for their Bengali cuisine.
