Dos and Don’ts for Bali rainy season
• Avoid Hiking
Hiking should be avoided in the rainy season on account of several factors. A serious downpour can lead to slippery tracks, more chances of falling and trees blocking the way. So if you have sunrise trekking to Mount Agung or Mount Batur, then it’s better to replace it.
• Avoid Diving
If you are a beginner at diving, then you should avoid deep diving. Rainfall conditions affect diving conditions. So check with the guides before you go for a diving.
• Minor Flooding
When there is a heavy downpour, minor floods can occur in and around the city. So replace your expensive shoes with casual flip flops. Oh, don’t forget your mosquito repellents.
• Enjoy the art of doing nothing
With a scenic view at every place; Bali can be a refreshing place. So while it rains, sit back with your partner or family and enjoy each other’s company. Or if you go solo, pull up your blanket, take a cup of coffee and your favourite book to enjoy the rains.
• A must thing is an umbrella
Don’t forget to pack your umbrella and raincoat. Even if it is sunny outside, the weather might change anytime. So being on the safer side, don’t forget your essentials.
• Avoid drinking tap water
It is highly advisable that you drink packaged mineral water. Drinking tap water can make you sick, which will ruin your trip.
Tour packages for Bali
Average Bali tour packages range from 40000 INR to 45000 INR (courtesy: Yatra.com). Based on the experiences of previous travellers, it has been seen that on an average $64 is spent daily.
