About Ananda Mandir Pre-Registration for Durga Puja

Pre-registration is required to attend the festival. A maximum of four people from per family are allowed to register. For every registration, you must make a small donation to the organisation. Each donation has different perks and facilities.

Puja Sponsors will be given priority entry to the temple. Other visitors will be given 60 minutes to visit the temple and enjoy the puja. People are requested to arrive 15 minutes before their allocated time.

2. Garden State Cultural Association Durga Puja (GSCA)

Garden State Cultural Association has been celebrating Durga Puja for many years. It’s a nonprofit organization run by a few Bengalis. During the puja, there is a grand get-together for luscious Bengali foods and cultural entertainment. Many famous Bengali singers and celebrities come and perform here.

A live concert will be held on both days. On October 4, Jayati Chakraborty will be performing. On October 5, Avishek Sinha and Shreyasi Bhattacharjee will entertain the crowd with their melodious voice.

3. Indian Community Center Of Garden State

This organization ensures that everybody can feel the sensation of the City of Joy (Kolkata), even if they reside in New Jersey. All the Durga puja festival rituals and food, leisure, and fun arrangements are maintained. A grand get-together can be seen during the puja.

4. Kallol Durga Puja

The association was established in 1975. This Bengali association is exceedingly popular among all Bengalis residing in New Jersey and nearby places. Apart from consciously celebrating puja, members of the organization also arrange many cultural programs during the festival. Famous Indian singers participated in the celebration and delighted the viewers with their melody.

A group of Indian professionals founded this organization in New Jersey to celebrate Durga Puja, and it has gained enormous popularity. During the occasion, they organize competitions, such as drawing, recitation, singing, etc., where adults and children can participate.

6. Bengali Cultural Society, NJ (BCSSJ)

Bengali Cultural Society is the oldest establishment of Bengali origin in the USA. Durga Puja is a major attraction for the Society, and all the rituals are performed minutely. During the puja, they organize various Bengali food events and programs that reflect Bengal’s rich customs.

7. Garden State Puja Committee (GSPC) DURGA PUJA FESTIVAL

This puja is mainly organized at William L. Dickinson High School. There is scope for Puspanjali for every person, and distribution of Prasad to all. There also remains an arrangement for dinner.

8. Ecdpa Annual Durga Puja Celebration

It comes under the oldest Bengali associations in North America, founded in 1970. As Durga Puja has been the biggest socio-cultural pious festival of Bengali culture, it has always been the center of their activities.

They uphold Indian and Bengali culture by organizing Durga Puja and other celebrations. They have an eventful schedule for cultural programs, talent shows, etc. Last year, the puja was organized at the Gujarati Samaj Hall, and the puja happened near New Jersey.

9. Dakshineswar Ramkrishna Sangha Adyapeath Kali Mandir Durga Puja

All the devotees of the goddess Kali made the temple to celebrate many Hindu pujas. It’s also known as Dakshineswar Ramkrishna Sangha, located in central New Jersey, and was established in 1995. Puja is celebrated for five days here.

10. Bharat Sevashram Sangha Durga Puja NJ

Swami Amarnathanandaji Maharaj founded Bharat Sevashram Sangha in New Jersey in 1997. This organization primarily offers religious and cultural services to the community. It engages in various types of social work and focuses on meeting human needs by providing food, shelter, and health relief services. 

It is another organization that attractively celebrates Durga Puja. Many Hindu sadhus reside here, so all puja rituals are adequately maintained.

They will conduct Mahalaya on the morning of September 20 and Til Tarpan on September 21. The organization allows guests to visit Durga Maa without registration for a specific period of time. Everyone is allowed to join the Sindoor khela from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dashami without registration. 

11. Durga Mandir New Jersey

Durga Mandir was established to make a place of worship for Hindus. It’s a community center and a religious, nonprofit organization. Many Hindu priests reside in the temple throughout the year. Under their guidance, volunteers take part in the government of the puja. All the people from nearby, both Indian and American, come here and celebrate this occasion.

12. Somerset Bengali Association Durga Puja

This association was established in 2007. In 2008, they started their activity through Saraswati Puja with 45 families residing nearby. 

After starting Saraswati Puja, they all decided to start Durga Puja. Since then, this puja has been the primary activity of this organization. Almost all Bengali families residing nearby take an active part in it. Puja goes on for five days, starting from Sashti to Dashami.
