5. Greig Farm – Red Hook, New York

Greig Farm is a family-owned farm in Reed Hook, NY. It’s like an agricultural park inviting visitors to spend a day on scenic trails. Robert and Marion Greig established the farm in 1942. 6. Wickham’s Fruit Farm – Cutchogue, NY

Wickham’s Fruit Farm, the oldest and perpetually cultivated farmland, started farming in the 1660s. It’s located against the historic & beautiful Peconic Bay. The farm is among North Fork’s largest and is spread across 300 acres. Their primary aim is growing & selling high-quality fruits. 13. Ochs Orchard – Warwick, New York

Ochs Orchard is among the best farms in New York. It’s a fourth-generation farm overlooking the beautiful Warwick Valley. In the 1920s, Ochs was initially a commercial apple orchard.

The farm was named after Chris Scheuermann & Peter Ochs, who planted the first trees. Until 1969, only peaches & apples were grown and sold. In the 1930s, Mr. Peter purchased the entire farm and became the sole owner. Unfortunately, they are not arranging U-pick strawberries for this year.

With time, they added a cider mill, barn, ice-cream parlor, and petting zoo. The farm spread across 100 acres, aims to sell locally grown fresh products. PYO crops are offered, including strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, tomatoes, plums, peaches, pears, apples, pumpkins, and flowers. They have a zoo that houses sheep, goats, donkeys, Cornelius & peacocks. 

The farmstand sells jellies, jams, butter, apple cider, maple syrup, honey, eggs, vegetables, fruits, etc. But this year, they announced they’re not organizing the strawberry picking event.
